Shall we dance?

I should have done this post like weeks ago but due to certain technical problems I'm posting it now. This is another exercise for my animation class where I had to make a ball "dance" accoriding to the music. The objective was to use squash and strech along with timing. I think it could have come better but it was so time consuming that in the end I just wanted to finish it and move on. For example, the part "will you do [the fandango?]" could have been done with more bouncing.

Some things I learnt from this:
1. Sometimes if something doesn't work on Maya by doing it some particular way, try another way, even if it does exactly the same thing. I've been trying to add a background to the movie for the past weeks and the solution was so easy that it took me so long to get it. (reason why it took so long to come here :P).
2. Even if the preview doesn't look good keep going. I had trouble this past days coz the timing was messed up after adding the background. But guess what? It only looked bad while doing it. The final result came looking good :) Good thing that I resigned and decided to keep the ugly timing haha.

  1. I really like how the colors of the ball mix with background. Also, timing of the first seconds is just great! Congrats!
